Oggi la fotografia, nelle sue varie declinazioni, dal documentario al concettuale, vive una trasformazione radicale sotto l’influenza dell’avanzamento tecnologico e di nuovi valori della società. Attraverso le esperienze e il privilegiato punto di osservazione dei uno dei protagonisti della fotografia contemporanea italiana questi due giorni saranno l’occasione per confrontarsi sulle attuali dinamiche che regolano i nuovi linguaggi visivi per riflettere su alcuni interrogativi: che cosa è oggi il racconto fotografico? Come è mutato il suo linguaggio? E come lo si applica ai nuovi media non tradizionali?  I partecipanti avranno inoltre la possibilità di discutere con l’autore una selezione dei loro migliori lavori.

Attraverso l’esplorazione del lavoro passato e recente del docente, i partecipanti si confronteranno sulle varie fasi di realizzazione di un progetto fotografico, analizzando casi studio specifici e individuando nuove possibilità di ricerca, attivando al tempo stesso una riflessione su cosa vuol dire oggi raccontare storie attraverso la fotografia

Contemporary photography, in its various forms, from documentary to conceptual, undergoes a radical transformation under the influence of technological advancement and new values of society. Through the experiences and the privileged point of view of the photographer these two days will be an opportunity to discuss the current dynamics that govern the new visual languages and to reflect on some topics: how does photography tell a story today? What are the main changes occurred? And how they can be applied to new  media? Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss with the author a selection of their best works.

Through the experience of the past and recent work of the teacher, the participants will discuss about the various phases of a photographic project, analyzing specific case studies, identifying new research possibilities and at the same time activating a reflection on what it means today tell stories using photography
